About the job
We are seeking an experienced Marketing Director to spearhead our marketing efforts and drive the growth of our indie games and brand. This person should have a passion for indie games, a strong understanding of the gaming industry, and a proven track record of success in marketing games.
This individual will work closely with our partner game studios to understand their games and design long-term marketing strategies to determine the best ways to promote the games
This individual will need to contribute at the strategic creative level to drive all marketing initiatives and interface with our development partners and lead agency partners while having impeccable project management skills and team leadership. Must be comfortable writing and presenting rationale to help drive consensus across all levels, including the executives.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Help build, grow and lead a lean team of marketing professionals, providing guidance and direction to achieve best-in-class results, from strategy development through successful execution.
- Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies for our indie games.
- Oversee the creation and management of paid and organic marketing campaigns, including digital advertising, email marketing, social media, influencer marketing, and events.
- Analyze market trends and consumer behaviour to inform marketing strategies and adjust campaigns.
- Manage the marketing budget and measure the success of marketing initiatives.
- Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies to stay ahead of the competition.
- Create and maintain game storefronts pages.
- Create and manage discounts and sales on various platforms as part of marketing campaigns.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- 5 years or more of experience in a marketing role within a game publisher or developer, with 3 years minimum in leading or mentoring teams.
- Strong knowledge of the gaming industry, particularly in the indie game space, and a passion for indie games.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing campaigns from announcement to release and beyond
- Excellent analytical skills and experience with data-driven decision-making
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
